There's a game I used to love that involved blasting away monsters in a top down view, while saving as many residents as I could such as babies, old ladies and even the odd cheer leader. It just had to be the highly enjoyable and humorous game ' Zombies Ate My Neighbors '; a game that was not only developed by Lucasarts released by Konami for the SNES and Sega Mega Drive in 1993, but as of a recent heads up you can play the game as if it was a classic first person shooter thanks to Dude27th.
Yes indeed this classic game of which so many people have enjoyed, can be also be played as a work in progress DOOM II mod (GZDoom), complete with Zombie blasting antics, weapon pick ups and all the cheer leader saving you could ever want! Sure it might have been released as a demo way back in July of last year, but going by the latest video update it's coming on leaps and bounds and still well worth playing even now.
