We've just come across an interesting bit of gaming news for all you nostalgic 8bit fans, as thanks to a friendly heads up via Twitter, we've been told the famous 8-bit Adventure classic of 'Fairlight', which appeared on the Amstrad CPC, C64, ZX Spectrum and as an Atari XL/XE conversion. Is currently available to download as a cancelled PC Remake demo called ' Avarslund '. An unfinished and untested version developed and released by Richard Jordan, who is also behind the upcoming 80's homage of Melkhior's Mansion.
Fairlight was and still is one of the best 8-bit games from the 1980's, it was released by EDGE Games and featured the engine called GRAX; an engine which gave us great isometric gameplay against guards and beasts, and as Lemon64 says for this particular game, "rewards exploration and experimentation".
