Well this came as a complete surprise to us and to be honest I'm very excited for it, as if you remember playing the great strategy city builders of Pharaoh and the expansion Cleopatra: Queen of the Nile by Sierra Entertainment. You'll be overjoyed to learn that Triskell Interactive with publishing by Dotemu, will be remaking the game as a full graphical overhaul including 50 missions and over 100 gameplay hours and calling it Pharaoh: A New Era. To coincide with this news, a new trailer has been released showing the new intro, some gameplay, and that gorgeous soundtrack.
Immerse yourself in the history of Ancient Egypt with 50 missions and over 100 gameplay hours in Pharaoh: A New Era, a remake of Pharaoh (and the expansion Cleopatra: Queen of the Nile), one of the best city builders from the golden age of Sierra Entertainment. Stone by stone, build your city and manage all aspects of its development to ensure it prospers and makes you a powerful and revered Pharaoh. The game will feature ultra HD detail, new gameplay mechanics to modern standards, a redesign of the soundtrack and much much more.
