Alcon 2020 (Slap Fight) - Abalore's Amstrad port of a classic Arcade game gets a release!

Great news today as thanks to a heads up via Guillaume we know now the eagerly awaited Amstrad game of 'Alcon 2020 ' developed by Abalore has been released as a version 1.0. Now if you've ever played Alcon in the Arcades or as it was known on the 8bit machines as Slap Fight, the developer is hoping this version that he has developed will be more like the Arcades and not the 8bit version released in the late 80's... Although that was still a great game to play!

Alcon does look like it could be a damn fine port although I've not had the chance to play it properly, as not only does the game scroll nicely with smooth animation, but it has that great soundtrack, the levels look much closer to the Arcades as an 8bit game and what really stands out is the ship design being very close to Alcon and not Slap Fight.

Alcon 2020 is a game for the Amstrad / Schneider CPC464, CPC664, CPC6128, Amstrad 464 Plus, 6128 Plus and GX4000 devices. It runs in all models since it requires only 64k of RAM.
