It's time for some great ZX Spectrum news, as we have just been informed through Facebook that Jordi has released an overhauled version of his ZX Spectrum game 'Misifu Remeow'; a game that was previously released via the ZX-DEV MIA remake competition as a demake of the classic game 'Alley Cat'. For those of you who haven't heard of this game before, the original was released on the Atari 8bit in 1983 and MS-DOS in 1984 by Bill Williams and published by Synapse Software, and puts you in control of Freddy the Cat on a challenging mission to rescue his Cat love, Felicia.
For those of you who didn't follow our other write ups, this game was actually coming to the ZX Spectrum as a port by Destr some time ago, with as much of the original gameplay intact. Sadly that conversion became MIA and it was down to Jordi to take the reigns and give us that much needed conversion/demake, which was released via the ZX DEV MIA competition, and then overhauled today as Misifu Remeow.
This is the 'Remeow', remake of ZXDev'19 Misifu, improving not only graphics by the internationaly known artist 'Jarlaxe', but also re-developing every phase of the game. Now it features: better collisions, better and more optimized code, richer visuals and you'll see there are two versions: One tribute to CGA-PC Alley Cat, and one featuring ZX Speccy COLOR.
