Remember last year when we said that the famous game and movie of 'ROBOCOP' was coming to the Amiga as a complete AGA rework, developed in 68k ASM for those of you who felt the original 1989 Ocean/Data East game was rather lacking. Well here's some good news for you all! As just recently, DanielAllsopp who is behind this AGA rework has posted a brand new work in progress video showing how far the game has come since its first announcement all those months ago.
While the coder has said before that people shouldn't expect the level of progress compared to the developer experience of mcgeezer, jotd etc. He is still hard at work on the game and even has an early intro, all arcade perfect colours, new enemies added to the windows, some new features to the map renderers, extra meat to the engine and much much more you'll just have to visit the discussion thread to see for yourselves. Again please be aware it's still early days for Robocop AGA, and there's every chance it wont see the light of day for this year at least!
Shout outs and big thanks for help during this little phase belong to:
- - mcgeezer: RNC and disk loading routines
- - saimon69: music and sound effects
