Orbital Rescue - A C64 homage to a 1982 classic, gets a full release by RunStop64

We've featured lots of Amiga lately, but now it's time for the C64 to get in on the retro gaming fun, as Saberman was kind enough to contact us this morning, that RunStop64 has released the full version of his new C64 game of 'Orbital Rescue'; a game that is not only a homage to the 1982 classic of Jupiter Lander, but it is also as a mash up of Choplifter, and Fort Apocalypses. To coincide with this news story, Saberman has also done a gameplay video which can be viewed below.

For those of you who remember either Lunar Rescue from 1979 or Jupiter Lander from 1982 it looks like you are in for a treat! As from the look of the video above, this new game for the C64 looks every bit as enjoyable with some added extras. Not only do you have a choice of ships to use with different abilities, but you also have the challenge of not crashing your ship into the landscape, you must rescue the people trapped below bringing them back safely, while also avoiding being shot by the local defences.
