It's been some time since we've actually featured a PC remake of a classic fighting game, so to change all that, here's a rather special heads up for you all it's Buccaneers: Shipshape; An upcoming remake of the 1989 Buccaneers arcade game in which you slip into the role of one of four fearless pirates and hack-and-slash your way through waves of enemy hordes, offshore and on a dangerous island in the Caribbean. To coincide with this news, Saberman has done a gameplay video of the demo to give you a glimpse of the remake which is coming soon to Steam.
Buccaneers: Shipshape is a full remake of the 1989 Buccaneers arcade game, featuring a plethora of new additions. With the full support from the developer of the original game, Duintronic S.A., this new remake introduces: The ability to control movement in the Z axis (depth), offering a gameplay reminiscent of classic beat ‘em ups like Renegade and Final Fight, additional moves including dash, grabs, and special attacks, 3 new selectable heroes including two female pirates, 4-player local co-op, new enemies and hazards, additional stages, enhanced graphics and much much more.
