For those of you looking for some HOT Sega Mega Drive news have come to the right place, as thanks to ray_castello who gave us the heads up via Twitter, we have been told that Mauro Xavier together with Edmo Caldas and Master Linkuei, are working on bringing Final Fight over to the Sega Mega Drive as Final Fight Ultimate. Yes indeed this rather famous beat 'em up which appeared in the Arcades, the SNES, the Sega CD and even 8bit systems, is finally coming to the Sega Mega Drive as a fan made version that looks every bit as good as the one playable at the Arcades.
While the SNES version had multiple things missing such as Level 4, an entire character, and no two-player mode, from what we know about this version that's being created by Mauro Xavier, music by Edmo Caldas and Master Linkuei, who is working on ripping, tricks & tech support. The creators have said "It will be a little different from the Sega CD version because we are changing the assets, even more, to use more graphics from the arcade version". So yes certainly one to look out for, and even more so if you have a Sega Mega Drive or emulator at hand! We can't wait...
