If you have a C64, chances are you would've played Badgerpunch Games excellent Cowboy themed C64 game of 'Showdown'. Well thanks to a heads up from the developer himself, we have been told that not only is the previously announced Mega65 version of the game available for pre-order as a seriously cool Collector's Edition through poly.play, but as of now via itch io, the game has also been released digitally for all you Mega65 owners out there.
In Showdown you play a cowboy out to win a fierce gun duel. The first one to outwit and knock down the opponent 5 times is the winner of the duel. The game features a top notch soundtrack, quick draw gun shooting action, 1 or 2-player control, and finally is a cowboy themed game originally released for the Commodore 64, which is also inspired by a host of older titles with the same theme, going all the way back to Gun Fight from 1975. So yes if you love Cowboy games, and have a Mega65 you owe it to yourselves to play this awesome game of Showdown from Badgerpunch Games.
