Knights & Slimes - A fabulous Arcade Platformer by Monte Boyd is here for the C64!

Another retro gaming news story for you all, and one I think many will be playing throughout the weekend, is the brand new game of Knights & Slimes for the C64 by Monte Boyd. A high quality game in which playing as the mighty Knight hero, must wipe out all the slimes that have overrun the Kingdom. To coincide with this very early news story, we've some screenshots of the game and a new video which can be viewed below.

Knights and Slimes is a brand new, arcade-style platform game for the Commodore 64 (the greatest 8 bit computer of all time). The game features fast-paced, single-screen arcade platforming action, random levels so every game plays differently, 8 knight characters to choose from, 4 different world areas to play, Slimes, monsters, and more slimes, epic magic spell power ups, experience points to earn new abilities for your knight, and all of this playable as an EasyFlash cart image which can be saved to Automatically!

    1. A lot of that is empty and dummy. So don't expect that to be all efficient game data.

    2. Seriously why would this game need 961kb. It's char mode. I bet a decent coder could get it down to a 128kb cart image.

  3. Great ... will it ever come out in a cartridge version?

  4. Ow! My ears! I don't understand why it was decided to only release with a cartridge image. It just seems to limit the gaming audience somewhat. But, hey, what ever "floats your boat!"

  5. This looks pretty decent and it works withing the confines what a C64 can actually handle.
