When I was growing up, one of the best Amstrad games I ever played with my dad, was the 1986 Firebird release of ' Thrust '. It involved the controlling of a ship using vectored thrust that had to pick up orbs with a tractor beam, blasting power plants, avoiding the landscape while doing so, and then flying off into space! While Rescuer by Maciej Malecki isn't a full on Thrust experience, in this new C64 preview you have to use the correct amount of thrust to avoid crashing into things while trying to rescue people trapped below.
Sadly we don't know much about the game as the only link provided was by Saberman, but what we do know for this preview however is there are a number of levels to play through, you have to rescue people, you have to avoid crashing into the landscape, and so far there doesn't seem to be any music or sound at this current level of development. Still from the game play we've seen, we still can't wait to see how it progresses through the months ahead.
