If you have an Amiga you are sure to like this latest news story we've come across on Twitter, as if you were hoping to play the C64 version of 'Rogue64' by Badger Punch Games but didn't get the chance, then make sure to keep an eye out for the upcoming release of 'RogueCraft'; The creators popular C64 game Rogue64, with a Lovecraft-inspired theme, and loads more features that is coming to the Amiga at some point in the near future. To coincide with this news, Ricki Sickenger (Zendar) has teased another screenshot which gives us a very early look at the game itself.
Yes indeed welcome to a rather lovely looking game that's coming to the Amiga, a game that will not only feel completely different every time you play, but the game will also feature tough monsters that become ever more dangerous as you progress, bigger challenges, wonderful rewards for those who are close to the end, glorious Amiga graphics, a lovely soundtrack , and more you'll just have to experience for yourselves when it gets an eventual release... We can't wait!
Looks great! Professional level. Hope won't be limited by bare Amiga 500 config with 512MB CHIPMEM, and will take advantage of fast CPUs + AGA + >4MB FASTMEM...
ReplyDeleteEither way, that's how you take a simple game and take it to the next level on the Amiga.
DeleteWe really can do without those ugly 8 bit conversions.
"We really can do without those ugly 8 bit conversions."
DeleteGet it over with ... sure ! we can also do without the ugly 16bit conversions and skip right into the beautiful 64bit conversions, with 16x MSAA and aniso filtering ...
8 bit conversions were never acceptable on the amiga
Delete64 bit conversions didn't exist during it's commercial lifespan
YES PLEASE i would LOVE to show that off on my retro computer stream like rogue64 :)
DeleteI'd like the 8-bit conversion of 'skool daze' or 'paperboy'...
DeleteThis looks beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteI really like the look of this.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the finished product. :)
It's not my kind of game, but the graphics style is really eye-catching.
ReplyDeleteIt would be super sweet if it have a full fledge story, dialog box, cutscene, endng cutscene, introduction cutscene, in game cutscene...maaan this look like a potential for a very cool atmospheric game. I do hope it works on my A500 hehe.
ReplyDeleteThis looks great. The dev mentioned on Bill's stream that this work on OCS with 1MB, which is great news for all the OCS users out there. Can't wait to play it on my A600!
