OnEscape - A post-apocalyptic adventure game for the Atari XL/XE

Here on Indie Retro News we do love writing about the Atari XL/XE, especially with fabulous games being mentioned such as the Prince of Persia port and even Bruce Lee. Thankfully there's no let up in this greatness however, as thanks to another heads up from our good friend Saberman through Facebook, he has told us to let you all know that a new post-apocalyptic adventure game for the Atari XL/XE has been released called 'OnEscape'.

This is a new 1Mb cart modern adventure game for the 8bit Atari XE (64kb, stereo) by Vortador Games (c) 2022. According to the creator(s), OnEscape has more than 50 screens by PG, more than 30 minutes of adaptive soundtrack, a high quality post-apocalyptic story by Poison and great code by Fandal. As in their words "OnEscape is a new age adventure game, that's filled with text and full of atmosphere , which is not one to be missed if you have an Atari XL/XE!"

  5. Great graphics on the 8 bit Atari machine but the game looks hard and boring. The fast tunes are annoying after a while. Especially if you need many time to solve a problem. It would have been better with sound fx without music or an option to switch off the music. I note, the fast music is not that bad, it would be good in an action game.
