Possibly the last article for the day and one I think many will be enjoying on their C64, is the recent release of LC-Games new Commodore 64 title of 'Scout the Stray'; A maze based game whereby playing as a Stray dog, you need to collect bones and avoid being caught by the dog catchers. In light of this news which was sent to us just moments ago, Saberman was kind enough to do a quick video showing the game in action.
In brief here is the game description from the website : The character that the player will have to control is Scout, a stray dog, who has to go through procedurally generated mazes munching on the bones scattered about and avoid being captured by the dog catchers who are chasing him. A level will end when all bones have been eaten. The game has 32 levels to complete, the speed of the chasers will increase more and more until he reaches the last level, and as a defense weapon, Scout has "barks" at his disposal, with which he can scare the dog catchers who will run away from our hero for a few seconds

A hi-res player character is always appreciated but I am more impressed by the excellent dog catcher sprites. Small multicolor sprites are so hard to do well on C64, but these communicate with crystal clarity.
