DRIFT! 2K22 - A rather cool car game from 2019 for the ZX Spectrum by ZOSYA entertainment gets an upgrade

ZOSYA entertainment have made some incredible ZX Spectrum games throughout the years, games such as Drift!, Valley of Rains, Travel Through Time Volume 1, Angels and even the latest Adventure game of Don Quixot for the 16k and above. Well here we are with another announcement from this homebrew creator, as they have released a rather large improvement to their 2019 ZX Spectrum game DRIFT;  a seriously cool looking game whereby the aim is to drift around a set amount of laps for a high score.

ROD-LAND / ROD-LAND REIMAGINED - ZX Spectrum it lives reviews a 1991 classic and the re-imagined 2012 Homebrew mod by Rafal Miazga

It's Tam.  And Rit.  And...WTF...

Storm Software released this game and very few others, apart from the acclaimed Street Dragon, or should that be Saint Dragon? But this was way too late in the Speccy's heyday for me to have caught it first time round, so it's all new to me now. And it received a colourful update in 2012 from that man again Rafal Miazga. He's not actually sponsoring my website honestly, though maybe he should at this rate.

The game was advertised with the line "So cute, it'll make you puke!" which is quite something, interesting PR approach. I guess they were trying to appeal to the Rainbow Islands/Bubble Bobble kind of audience, but felt slightly ashamed of themselves for doing so.

QUOD INIT EXIT IIo - The sequel to a colourful C64 game looks better than ever in this new preview via Retream

In 2015 we gave a special mention to Retream's Arcade homebrew of ' QUOD INIT EXIT ', a C64 game that had a cute little pig, lots of fast moving fruit and was so colourful you would've been silly not to load it up on a C64. Thankfully it looks as if the team want to continue the piggy greatness, as we have just been told through twitter, that not only is the creator still working on the sequel of QUOD INIT EXIT IIo, but as of right now you can play the latest preview, a preview which looks bloody good too!

Planetoid - A side-scrolling shooter based on the classic arcade game Defender!

In 1981 Williams Electronics released Defender, an all time classic multi-directional arcade shooter featuring 2D graphics as you defeat waves of aliens while protecting astronauts on the surface. Defrog - Classic 1980's Frogger remade for your Browser!

Back in the day I really loved playing the 1981 Arcade game of Frogger by Konami. It had loads of charm, great gameplay for kids and it really made you feel for the safety of those little green frogs as they hopped their way across a busy road, then across a river of logs and Crocodiles to get to the other side. So when Ben James announced his Frogger remake of 'Defrog' which is playable in your browser, I just had to give it a go!
