Let me be honest with you, I can't stand Golf! I never enjoyed watching it or even playing it, the only game I enjoyed playing was Mini Golf as it was just way more fun, especially with the family. So to see a Mini Golf game coming to the Amstrad CPC and Plus range by Copper, I got just a little bit excited! While we don't know a lot about the game other than what Xyphoe said below, we do at least have a gameplay video for you to watch of the game that's in development.
And this is what Xyphoe said in his latest tweet in regards to Cooper's upcoming release "Work in progress of a new crazy golf type game for the #AmstradCPC (and a "Plus" version too) called "Sente Mini Golf" which was also a little heard of coin-op arcade game in 1985. But that used a trackball, so we'll see how they deal with those controls!".... So as ever watch this space for more info!
There was also a C64 version in the 80's released by Capcom, to my knowledge a US-only release. The way they did the controls was have an automatically circling cursor around the ball, spiraling into the ball. You just had to time pushing the button right to get your aiming as good as possible, and then use the joystick to adjust speed. Used to play the C64 version, so I got used to the controls, even though compared to trackball, it's definitely not optimal... =)
