Lunar Rescue RX - An entire game will be coded live in assembly for the ZX Spectrum by Allan Turvey!

Allan Turvey aka Highrise is certainly no stranger to Indie Retro News, releasing fabulous games for the ZX Spectrum such as Terrapins RX, Roust, Snowed Under and even InvAGDers Deluxe. Well this name is going to be mentioned once more on the website, as he has informed us that he is converting the Taito classic Lunar Rescue in assembly from scratch for the ZX Spectrum. Although he does state unlike other games, every moment that is spent working on the game will be live on Twitch - warts and all, every mistake and every triumph!

Here is what we were told through Facebook by the coder "well, the idea is to write a game for the ZX Spectrum entirely in assembly code from scratch, and all of it done live on Twitch. My idea is to demystify low-level coding and encourage people to take part in the process directly as it is happening. In this way the coding itself becomes something of a game". So yes if you are looking into game development, or just want to see a live progression of Lunar Rescue RX before it gets a release, make sure to check out the link below.
