If you have a Commodore 64 you are going to love this news update that's been sent to us early this morning, as if you remember our previous announcement of Ooze which was released for the ZX Spectrum by Andy Johns. Then you maybe interested to know that as of today, you can play the final version of the Commodore 64 conversion/port by Haplo! To coincide with this news, Saberman has also provided a video of the game in action below.
Here is what the website says about this fabulous C64 game! "Help Ooze navigate through various corridors and laboratories, using its gravity-reversing powers to overcome obstacles and avoid the robotic guards in an attempt to escape from this dangerous subterranean complex. Collect keys and insert them in the computer terminal to disable the force-field and gain access to further areas. Can you escape?" . For those of you who want to know what's different from the ZX Spectrum version, it now features improved graphics, sprites and sprite overlays, tons of new animations, improved screens and game-play and even a minimap!

Haplo is on fire. Like all his previous games, this also has great playability and it's great entertainment for a Saturday afternoons :)
ReplyDeleteThis is how you convert a Spectrum game to the Commodore... take note Amiga programmers.
ReplyDeleteYou mean to the devs of the game 'Tony' even though they purposely want it monochromatic like the old indie comic book style they're homaging?
DeleteThat was black on white not white on black just sayin
DeleteLovely upgraded Spectrum graphics. The look of the composite hi-res sprites are very consistent with the background visuals.
ReplyDeleteOne of the Top10 Spectrum A.G.D. based games finds its ways to C64. Actualy the second A.G.D. video game by Andy Johns/Bubblesoft , after the Enhanced(with scrolling) "Nixy the Glade Sprite" that's ported to C64. Who knows ,maybe more by Andy Johns/Bubblesoft( Montys Honey Run, Monty and the Temple of Lost Souls,Nixy and the Seeds of Doom) will be visiting C64 in the future?
ReplyDeleteNixy was great, thats how you convert a Speccy game.
DeleteVisually resplendent. Great work all around.
