Tony Montezuma's Gold - A fabulous monochrome Platformer is now coming to the ZX Spectrum

Great news if you have a ZX Spectrum, as we've recently been informed, that the highly enjoyable game of Tony - Montezuma's Gold by Monochrome Productions, will at some point in the near future be released for the ZX Spectrum. A game that was previously released for the Amiga, Atari XL and C64 , looking like it could be right at home on a classic Macintosh with monochrome graphics! As ever, Saberman has provided a video showing some early footage of this game by Rafal Dudek, Michal Brzeski and Wojciech Zolkiewicz.

Embark on a pixelated journey inspired by Tony Halik, the real-life Polish explorer and filmmaker whose adventures spanned continents and decades. He was exploring ancient civilisations for NBC, Tony's love of discovery knew no bounds. Now it's your turn to step into Tony's digital shoes and unravel the mysteries of Montezuma's Castle in this upcoming 8-bit homage for the ZX Spectrum.

  1. If it's being ported to the Z80 then come on guys, let's have an Amstrad version. Mode 1 would be ideal. With up to 4 colours anywhere on screen, this would have the potential to be the best looking 8-bit version.

    1. why would it be in 4 colour when it's less than that even on the Amiga? This game isn't about using colours, it wants to be in monochrome for reasons. :)

  4. Yeh come on people enough about the colours! If it ends up being a full colour experience down the line then so be it. But I'm happy with this version. Bit of a mac classic fan myself ;)
