UROK - An updated Amstrad CPC and ZX Spectrum 128k game by Tartessos Games

Saberman was kind enough to let us know earlier today, that if you're looking for a very challenging game to play, which features multiple enemy types, dangerous traps and precise platform jumps, then make sure to check out Tartessos latest Amstrad CPC and ZX Spectrum 128k game of 'UROK': A game in which you play as a demonic like creature out for revenge. To coincide with this news, there's a bit more info about the story of the game, as well as some gameplay footage below.

Here's the latest about the game which was developed using MK1 by The Mojon Twins for the ZX Spectrum and MK1 Pestecera - The Mojon Twins for the Amstrad CPC.  "Legend has it that at the top of the western hill, in a forgotten plane where the wind blows scorchingly and the trees crackle in agony, lies the one who in times past dominated the multiverse. Buried and sealed in a eternal nightmare dream, waits for its moment to return and undertake his fearsome revenge".

  1. The main sprite is a rip from Gameboy's Gargoyle's Quest!

    1. I don't think it's a rip as they're not the same but it definitely looks based off it.

    2. The entire gameplay is clearly based off Gargoyle's quest. But that is not a bad thing. There's space for cloning retro games. Heck, how many doom-clones have we all played? And were not many of them awesome?

    3. Yeah this is a cool little game. And it had me go check out Gargoyle's Quest II on the NES that I hadn't played before and that's great too. So this is a fun fan-game. :)

  2. Looks cool and atmospheric! The meteor showers seem to make outdoors and indoors very distinct.
