While it's been nice to take a bit of a break from endlessly writing day after day, I thought it would be best to at least write up one article for Wednesday, with Drmortalwombat's new Commodore 64 game of Mineshaft Gap. A real-time strategy game for the C64 where you control up to 32 independent bunker dwellers in their strive for a less radioactive better future. To coincide with this late hour news story, we've got some further details about the game, as well as the all important gameplay video from Saberman.
And here's the latest from the website. "To save our great nation from total annihilation, we put our best into hibernation pods in a system of underground shelters, to be ready to rebuild the world, once the conditions had improved from Nuclear fallout. As our leader, your brain got extracted from your body and placed into a stationary control center, to watch over them, monitor the outside conditions and oversee the rebuilding. Unfortunately after several millennia of playing mine sweeper and solitaire, you got so bored, that you began to wake up the bunker dwellers, start the rebuilding of civilization, and to not let our enemies overcome us".
