Prepare for more Christmas entertainment! As if you have a Commodore Amiga at hand, then it might be worth checking out Nivrig Games latest addictive Christmas blaster of 'Santatron 2024'. A game in which you play as Santa, and must evade, attack and rescue Christmas from an AI controlled disaster. To coincide with this news, we've got some more info about the game as well as a gameplay video from Saberman.
Dev Notes : We have gone too far. Our technological sophistication and quest for better shareholder value led us to perfect the ultimate Christmas AI. Buynet, the final form of Christmas Shopping. The system goes online on Black Friday. Buynet begins to learn at a geometric rate. It becomes elf-aware at 2:14 a.m. Eastern time, December 23rd. Santa is removed from Christmas. Elves are removed from toy production. The Grotto is seized by AI-controlled toys and filled with shoddy, derivative and often weirdly disturbing AI-hallucinated gifts......There is one hope for salvation. Become Santatron".

For the decision to only give the game away with a magazine ... Bah humbug!
ReplyDeleteWe are getting a lot of angry and rather abusive comments regarding magazine exclusives... I feel your annoyance! But I cannot allow abuse including swearing on the site :(
ReplyDeleteI like the music of the game. However, I won't pay for a magazine I won't read. Next...
ReplyDeleteNope! Not paying for a magazine that i don't read or need. Moving on....
ReplyDeleteTo be fair, if he'd have charged for the game what it costs for the magazine AND the game no one would have had an issue. I don't get the hate on this one.
ReplyDeleteIt's a matter of freedom.

Christmas blaster is better and i found on steam
ReplyDeleteI am pretty sure a digital copy is only £5.25 for both the game and magazine PDF, correct? Sounds pretty great to me. I'll be playing it this holiday season!
ReplyDeleteI think it's cool you only get it with the mag - encourages people to buy the mag and it's like the good old days! ...shame you don't get an actual disk
ReplyDeleteRight? Not sure about newsstand copies, but subscribers get disk labels, so I always make my own disks. Brings some of that old school spirit back.
