Long-time Amiga guru Adrian Cummings, creator of original titles such as Cyberpunks, Tin Toy, Doodlebug and many more. Has not only announced the digital and physical release of 'Dungeonette - The New Adventure' for the Commodore Amiga, but for those of you still undecided if it's worth a purchase, there's a demo that can be played too. A demo which gives you a first look at some of the enemies, the different themed areas, and the sword slashing sound effects. To coincide with this news, we've also got some footage of the game below.
Here's the latest about the game. " You play as a brave hero on a quest to enter the Dungeons of Doom and slay the Dark Lord. With your trusty weapons, armour and shield, you must navigate the maze of dungeons ahead and vanquish your foes. Collect bonus weapons, spells, treasures and find food to keep you from starving. The Dark Lord has sent hordes of monsters to stop you. Dungeonette is a hybrid of many games in reality and has some roots in Diablo for sure but also many others as a hack & slash dungeon crawler"

Wow, still no comments? I sure hope you guys bought this .. I sure did. lol
ReplyDeleteI know a few people like myself would've preferred a big box edition ;)
DeleteAll became just too expensive after CyberPunks 2 to produce, sorry.
DeleteNoooooooooooooooooooooo ! :(
DeleteI bought it, and i like it.
ReplyDeleteOne thing though,I think it would have been better if the map was displayed like in the left upper corner.
ReplyDeleteEverytime I press the map now it is just unclear and confusing, hopefully this can be changed with an update.
The map can't be in the corner (also where I wanted it) because it's drawn into a single bitplane. If moved, in mixes colour bit information with the other bit planes making up the lighting mask and changes to funny colours where it overlaps other bitplanes on the front playfield. Conclusion = Can't move it. You can move around while the map is up though to see where you are going. Season's Greetings
DeleteThank you for your answer.
DeleteMight it be possible to change the colour of the player on the existing map?
Like make the player look red in the map ?
It's good has far as slash and hack crawlers go. 7/10
