One of the best games to come out of the ABBUC Software Contest 2024 for the Atari XL/XE, was 'Ruff in Trouble'. A nod to a game first released for the Amiga by Renegade in 1994, and developed by Wunderkind called 'Ruff N Tumble': A classic action packed Amiga platformer which is still incredible even to this day. Well here's some news for you if you have an Atari XL/XE, as shanti77 has released a revised edition of Ruff in Trouble for the Atari XL/XE, a new version with changes including background music.
And here's the latest from the developer. "In the game Ruff in Trouble we have to help the main character to escape from the enemy country. To get out of get out of the level, we have to find find magic orbs scattered all over the scattered all over the world. When we collect them all, the exit will open exit opens".
Dev Notes : Improved version of RuffInTrouble plus Editor. Errors found, control patches, small map modifications and background music (you can turn SELECT / OPTION off / on).
Looks pretty good for an 8 bit game. Wondering if there's any scope to port this to the C64? Which I think would be a natural home for Rough in Trouble, considering the original games origins.
ReplyDeleteWizardy or Fairlight music
